Magnum has increased palatability due to its Tetraploid nature
(Parentage 75% Annual, 25% perennial). Its open growth habit
makes it suitable in a mix with companion clovers.
Magnum can persist for two to three years in summer mild areas
but is better utilised as an annual oversown into existing pastures
to boost winter growth and increase quality of pasture available to
grazing livestock.
Magnum is a high producing hybrid ryegrass with rapid, aggressive
establishment, an excellent autumn
through to summer production and outstanding winter activity.
High palatability and later flowering characteristics with high levels
of water soluble carbohydrates ensures quality feed, high metabolisable
energy is maintained throughout the growing period to drive
livestock performance.
