Wrangler was bred primarily as an awnless forage wheat. Its
major advantage is its ability to be grazed by stock during the
growing season.
Close monitoring of Wrangler should take place during spring to
ensure that stock are removed immediately when above ground
head formation is detected to allow a high yielding hay or silage
crop to be harvested following grazing.
Wrangler requires exposure to cold temperatures or
vernalisation in order to produce grain.

Awnless to allow cutting for hay or late season grazing
• High hay or silage forage yield following several grazing
• Medium-tall height and has medium lodging resistance
• Mid maturity
• Some tolerance to acid soils
• Rapid prostrate establishment, ideal for grazing
• High forage and total yield
• White feed quality grain
