AMBASSADOR COCKSFOOT
AUSTRALIS PHALARIS |
|
Oxen Cocksfoot has significant advantages over phalaris and ryegrass cultivars. Oxen does not at any stage of growth cause toxicity problems. It is perfectly safe to graze wherever sufficient herbage is available. Grazing pressure should be regulated to prevent stands of Oxen becoming too tall or rank so as to keep Oxen at its best nutritious and palatable leafy growth phase. Oxen is a fast growing, highly productive upright Cocksfoot which is a derivative of Porto and is ideally suited to sheep and beef pastures or marginal dairy farming in the medium rainfall areas.
