Tamarmax is a selected derivative of cv. Tamar that produces well throughout the year providing a flush of growth in spring to early summer and a smaller flush in autumn. Trial work has shown it to have superior winter growth compared to other white clover varieties. It is adapted to a winter growth period but will grow well throughout the year given adequate moisture. More productive than Haifa, especially during summer and autumn and may be more persistent. Aphid resistance is similar to Haifa but Tamarmax is more tolerant of red legged earth mite. It is winter hardy and frost tolerant under Australian conditions. Tamarmax has been consistently outstanding because of superior heat tolerance, productivity, persistence and withstands heavy grazing.
