Sothis is an erect aerial seeded clover that will shed seed after maturity. It has an early-mid maturity, flowering approximately 100 days after emergence. Its upright habit makes it an ideal clover for mixtures with grasses that can be used later in the season for silage or hay. It is suited for self-regenerating ley systems or short-term phase farming systems. Sothis was developed by the Department of Agriculture and Food WA.
